ECONAR® Energy Systems - Residential
Case Study
The Energy House I- Elk River, Minnesota
The Energy House I is a model home which is a demonstration site for cost-effective,
energy-efficient, leading-edge technologies, and emphasizes Minnesota
made products, solar energy, indoor air quality and products made from
recycled products. Built to conform to the proposed 1999 Minnesota Energy
Code, the Category One house features construction techniques which keep
out moisture and wind, avoid rot and mold, and provide the American Society
of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) recommended
air changes for Indoor Air Quality. In addition, the energy-efficient
products and services featured demonstrate the advantages and viability
of renewable and efficient energy technologies for the sustainable community
of the 21st century. They not only chose an ECONAR Geothermal Heat Pump
for the cost and energy efficiencies, but also for its environmental aspect.
The system brings peace of mind to homeowners concerned about safety and
the environment. Since geothermal systems do not burn any fossil fuels,
they reduce the burning of natural gas, propane, fuel oil and other fossil
fuels.
Geo$ense
Along with the benefits of energy bill savings each month,
you can also expect less maintenance with longer equipment life, increased
comfort and safety without carbon monoxide emissions, no aesthetic pollution
and satisfaction in using renewable energy. Geothermal comfort systems
can save homeowners up to 75% on monthly energy bills when compared to
fossil fuel systems.
