ECONAR® Energy Systems - Residential
Case Study
Hefel (Doug) Residence - Dubuque, Iowa
Doug Hefel built this home for his family with an outlook
towards new technologies. When it came to heating and cooling his home,
he wanted a unique system that provided optimum heating and the best cooling
possible. He was very impressed when he came across ECONAR GeoSource Heat
Pumps that could do both! This residence uses two
6 ton GeoSource 2000 Hydronic heat pumps. These units make hot water,
which is circulated through tubing in the floor, to provide heating during
the winter months. In the summer, the units produce chilled water, which
is circulated through fan coil units to cool and dehumidify his home.
Geo$ense
Geothermal heat pumps offer consumers a heating, cooling
and hot water system that is cost-saving, reliable, efficient and environmentally
sound.
