ECONAR® Energy Systems - Earth Loop Field
Furniture and Things™ Slinky Loop

Furniture and Things™ Home Center, located in Elk River, MN is one of the upper Midwest’s largest furniture showrooms. In addition, it has the distinction of having the largest known horizontal slinky loop field. The loop field consists of 100 slinky loops. Each individual loop is made up of 600 feet of pipe, for a total of 60,000 feet of pipe. This is equivalent to nearly 12 miles of pipe buried under their parking lot. The pipe was buried 6 to 8 feet deep, and the field is 400 feet by 80 feet large. The earth loop contractor was S & B Geothermal of Ham Lake, MN.
