ECONAR® Energy Systems - Commercial Case Study
Swiss Valley Convenience Store - Dyersville, IA

The local convenience store is a little more ahead of themselves than anyone would have ever thought. They have installed the most cost-effective, energy-efficient, leading-edge technology of an ECONAR GeoSource Heat Pump. Geothermal heat pumps use a small amount of electricity to move heat from a low-temperature source to a high-temperature space for heating. The geothermal comfort system uses energy stored in the ground by simply transferring heat energy from the ground to the store in the winter and from the store back to ground in the summer. Because the compact heat pump is inside, and the pipe is buried under the ground, it is basically maintenance free since there are no elements exposed to the outdoors. Not only does this ensure the long life expectancy, but it also creates less of a problem to work around and protect from damage in such a limited space as a gas station. Swiss Valley Convenience Store is working towards their future with their ECONAR GeoSource Heat Pump’s quick payback, low monthly costs, durability, safety, and environmental friendliness.

Geo$ense®

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory reports geothermal systems save $300 to $1,000 annually, compared to fossil fuel systems. For every dollar put into the systems, the equivalent of three to four dollars of energy are produced, making it 300-400% efficient.
